No default maps, how to?
#1
I use the -autoupdate parameter and I would like it if my surf and zombie mod server did not download all the default maps on each update.

this is cus I dont want the server to change to those maps, and I dont want my co-admins to accedentially change to a map that is not even suppose to be there.

if anyone know how to keep the update program from downloading the maps that would be ideal, otherwise a way to lock them out from being used in the server could work too.

to delete them after each update is less that ideal cus I would have to use bandwidth on redownloading them every time.

Thanks in advance for all help Smile

It's not possible within the tool itself. However they are probably alternatives to do so.

Couldn't you just remove the maps from the ingame administrator menu? (maplist.txt, mapcycle.txt)

I do not know how to do that, nor am I completely sure they are there atm, I can not go ingame right now to check. How ever I have edited the maplist and mapcycle and still the server desired to change to de_dust after a while, which is very little appreciated.

If there are no exclude command to the update tool anyone that can think of another way to do this?

No it checks all files and downloads the ones which are missing.

maplist and mapcycle should be in the ./cstrike/ folder. After editing them, restart the server. Also SourceMod, I believe has its own map file. Try looking in its folders.
