SRCDS Red Text Header Help
#1
Hey everyone complete noob here hoping that someone can help out or has seen this before.

Im trying to set up a TF2 server for a college as part of a games development course... my main problem is that I have set up as much as I can reading through loads and loads of guides etc.

I had a look at my friends server and his header text in SRCDS is green when its running however mine is running red.

Does anyone know what I may have done wrong?

Im presuming its because it couldnt connect to the steam servers but im totally lost now. If somone could help me out that would be great.

You must download Counter-Strike: Source with:
Code:
hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir .

Yeah thats what I did before I started any work on it and from what I can tell we both did ours the exact same way except for our directories.

I just couldnt see any reason why his was green and mine was red other than me not being able to connect to a steam server

You probably didn't put quotes around the game name. You have CS installed, not CS:S.

Please do not PM me for server related help
