Gmod server connecting and dll errors
#1
Sad
Well my friend just got Gmod to work. SO I decided to set up a dedicated server with my new computer. All the lag issues got fixed from my last post.

This is a garrysmod server. And I have several problems. I get a tier0_s.dll error. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsbCn8W5iKw you can see the error through the link) Also the server doesn't see me as the admin it uses ass mod 2.20. Last the server is always set to lan. I have a Netgear MR814 and forwarded ports 27015, 27016, 27011, 27020-39, 27000. I also put in the command sv_lan 0. He can't connect.

I'm using a dell inspron 580 with a nivitia 9400 PCI, Intel Dual core i3 3.20GHz 6gb of ram says 5.80 usable running Windows 7 64 bit. Internet connect is comcast (which sux)
The address I use to port forward is 192.168.0.1 and give it IP 192.168.0.5 to foward along with the ports. When he connects I tell him it type in "connect 68.58.184.176" and it always gives connection failed. Sad
This is a list of my open ports http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYmfyxzqpto if any other info is needed please ask me.

Also according to that connection speed website 3.53mps is my download 2.49 is my upload and ping is 118. Smile

P.S. the reason I'm using youtube videos instead of images in the attachments is because I can't attach any thing. But I don't find it a problem. Toungue
Ya I don't believe in god you got a problem with that.Wink

I will forward that issue to an administrator immediately. Thanks for letting us now.

As for your problem I'm have the same experience as you are at the moment with a complete fresh install of Counter-Strike: Source.

And the funny part is that I'm using Windows 7 64bit too. *edit* Also this might be relevant for you: http://forums.srcds.com/viewtopic/15824
Those are some other users who are having a simular problem and one of them posted a reply with a possible fix. However it didn't work for me, appartently.

Thanks for the forward, champ. Regarding the attachment issue: what browser do you use? Can't reproduce it on Firefox 3.6 as regular dummy user. Does MyBB throw any errors?

Is it possible to see a screenshot of your portforward page?(abit ironicBig Grin). Just so we can verify it looks alright and what about your firewall?

The second video link should be my list of open ports. As for the fire wall srcds and the hldsupdatetool have pirmission through my fire wall. And are allowed connection as an inbound and outbound rule. If I start a normal MP game he can join but can't connect to the dedicated server. Which is really wired.

The italic text - what do you mean with a normal multiplayer game?

When you start up Garry's mod. Then hit start game and select multilayer.

And then his able to join you? But not when you use the dedicated tool? And the dedicated tool is NOT the one in Steam?

Yes he can join a normal MP game. But when it comes to the SRCDS dedicated server he can't connect. Its not the built in dedicated server on steam.
