Sv_Maxrate

Hey you guys. Its me again. I have a server running successfully, but when I connect, my physics and sometimes movement gets a bit choppy for me. I asked my friend for some help, he suggested to boost up the Sv_Maxrate, however, I don't know a good value that will help reduce that greatly. Help me out? If so, that would be GREATLY appreciated. I have a 2.08 MBS upload speed, I was using 4600 valve for the maxrate, so "Sv_Maxrate 4600", however, this is still laggy, so I'm not sure.

Try to set it to this:
sv_maxrate 30000
sv_minupdaterate 33
sv_maxupdaterate 33
sv_maxcmdrate 33
sv_mincmdrate 33

Idk if that will work, but it works for me with a 800kb upload lol

I still don't know why Valve suggests these rates, as it is very outdated information and mostly will result in choke. Set it to around 15000 and see if that makes the trick. You can play around easily, as the rate can be changed on the fly.
