Created local server GMOD
#1
Hey all, got gmod 10 installed on two computers. when i create a local server using 'server is local' being checked. the other comp cant see it in the LAN server list when choosing 'play multiplayer'.
Connected to a belkin n wireless router and both are connected to the router no probs. Is it to do with ports? Do they still matter over a local networked game?
any help is much appreciated Smile thanks

Usually it's not nessecary to portforward locally. But you still might not be able to see it. So try to connect directly with connect <othermachine>

Connect with the following command ingame. Replace the example IP with the IP of your server.
Code:
connect 192.168.0.102:27015
