[HELP] How to change the sv_downloadurl
#1
Exclamation
Alright, I didn't know where to post this but I really want some help.
My webspace is http://optserverhost.3dn.ru and YES it does allow SFTP upload, I'm trying to figure how to put that into the sv_downloadurl but every time I try it just says that you are forbidden if I add a /hl2mp (where the maps are located). If you can help, I will greatly appreciate it, and give a cookie Big Grin

sv_downloadurl must be a http url. neither ftp nor sftp are possible. the latter makes no sense in any case. it's a public download, there is no need to secure it in some way.

I just said it was a HTTP link... but it has a FTP uploading service, I can use FTP Commander to connect to the http link and upload files, I want to know what do I put to have it automatically download to clients.
I use a map called rp_uptown_v3_1_public.bsp and it is too big for people to download if the net_maxdownloadsize is 64, so my friend (Has his own server) told me to set up a fast download link, which I did, now I just need to know how to make it have a login and whatnot so if you went to that link on Firefox or whatever it would show the folder with the maps.
