Stock maps and GunGame server
#1
Hello. I'm running GunGame server and I don't need original maps, so I would like to save some disk space and remove unused maps (also files in "graphs" and "soundcache" subfolders). I'm not sure if updating server will cause those deleted content to re-download. If yes, is there a way to prevent this from happening? Server is Linux based. Thanx in advance.

There is no way. In most cases the server crashes or refuses to start if you remove stock content.
If you are running multiple linux servers you might want to take a look at symlinks to save disk space.

A stock GunGame server with the maps and stuff should be less than 3 Gigs. If you are unable to provide enough storage for that, I'm guessing the computer might not be great enough to host a server in the first place.

Nope. I just don't need that maps. You are guessing Smile

I like to keep an order in maps folder because I have almost 100 GunGame maps. Stock maps don't help in this Smile
