L4D2 - Connection issues to my own server

Hi all,

I have set up a Server on another PC that people can join themselves.

There is however an issue for myself. If the server is empty I am unable to join it. (I get a Disconnected from server error) but if there is another player on the server I can join without an issue.

Any ideas as to what is causing this?

I also run a Synergy Server at times and have no problems connecting to it.

Are your l4d2 server reserved for lobby connections?
