Some people says that it works when they haven't got steam installed, other if they start the server before they start steam. This is indeed a very strange issue, and i think that steam isn't answering because they might not have a solution either. We just have to wait and see if this is continuing. If possible - use linux! :-)

I've tried the launching server before steam; that didn't work, and when I first was working on the server I didn't even have steam installed, so that's not either. I'll see about linux; I may have a copy of ubuntu lying around, or I'll use use Cent.

Bad bug.

make this code instead and you dont need to worry about wrong ip adress.

start /wait orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf -maxplayers 32 +fps_max 500 -port 27015 +map cp_manor_event -tickrate 66

If you use the -port parameter without the +ip parameter, rcon (somehow) doesn't work.

With or without the error still happens apparently.

Steam doesn't support the server software... You could use the mailing list.

This may be dumb, but are you on an administrator or power user account when you run the server? And if you haven't already have you tried to right click the shortcut and run as administrator?

Other than that, I just added you to steam, hit me up some time and I might be able to team viewer fix your problem.
Looking for a game server? Visit fullfrag.com and pick one up as low as $2.50 / mo!

You only need to forward port 27015. Make 27015 your start and end port for TCP and UDP.

To your command line, add -ip 0.0.0.0 -port 27015.

That should work.

this maybe a security risk but you can try it if your pc got nothing private ie : server only pc

DMZ Your pc and remove the port forwarding tables on your router
also double check that you either use dmz or port forwarding they never worked together for me
Regards .

I DMZ it manually so I have tried that on/off.

And I was planning on making this laptop a server only. Hence I'm connecting to it through teamviewer in my last picture.
