edit srcds_run

Is there any one that edits the srcds_run nowdays.

If i edit it do i have to change the name of the file, is it updated and overwritten on updates?

Im wondering because i have finaly detected why my servers are not autoupdating. Steam path are wrong in srcds_run

I could imagine it would get overwritten at least if you use -verify_all. but you can simply rename that file to something else. (btw: you could also fix it by moving steam into the place srcds_run expects it...)

In my install i have my modded srcds_mod_run into my
/home/user/game/pub/orangebox

steam binary is located in
/home/user/game/pub/


Normaly in my srcds_run the path to steam is ""

In my new srcds_mod_run:
I have now edited it to be ../steam is that correct?

it depends on where you put steam...
