Changing knife skin?

Hello, I downloaded this: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/27066?qpost=4604621 I extracted all the files in my "srcds/cstrike" folder and I went into game and the models and stuff didn't download automatically and in-game the knife was the same? I replaced the regular knife mdl files with the ones that came with brass knuckles thing and it didn't work? sv_pure is set to 0. I don't know if that had to do with anything but . So could anyone help me out here?

I don't think you can use client-side skins to replace server side ones.

Really? I wen't on this Scoutzknivez server and they had a custom knife skin for all players in the server?

That probably requires some kind of model skin changer. Something like that used with the skins you added might work, but would require a lot of downloads by the client

You can't have server-side skins without having them downloaded, and since you can only have it where the original file is, clients won't be able to download it as the skin already exists in the GCF.
