Wierd srcds Problem

I am running gentoo both 64 and 32 bit. I have installed screen to run my srcds's. When i type quit in my servers while connected to the screen from putty, the screen freezes and i have to completely reboot the computer and wipe screen. Anyone know whats going on here? btw it only happens after i put any mods on.

but i have another one that is running the same mods and it doesn't happen. Its really confusing.

probably there is some difference somewhere, maybe in the settings. remove all mods and add them one by one. after each try if the problem is still there. then you exactly know which plugin is causing the error. either remove it or check carefully its configuration.
