[RESOLVED] Your server is out of date. Please update and restart.

For some, annoying reason i cant update my garrysmod server.

Im running srcds on a windows vista, trying to launch garrysmod.

When launching i use the following code in commant prompt:

cd C:\lol\srcds\orangebox
srcds -console -game garrysmod +map gm_construct -maxplayers 12 -autoupdate +hostname "Mingenewbz Sandbox (Scars,Phx,Wire+)"

To update i put in:

cd C:\lol\srcds\
hldsupdatetool -command update -game "garrysmod" -dir C:\lol\srcds

Heres the weird part, my server was working fine for a few weeks. The update came out, i updated the server, launched it up and it and it worked! The server was restarted and now i get the error "Your server is out of date. Please update and restart." even after updating it multiple times.

Try instead c:\lol\srcds\hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game garrysmod -dir c:\lol\srcds -verify_all

That might work better.

hmm. thanks for the reply but no difference.

When i put the update command in it just says:

checking bootstrapper version...
updating installation

Checking/installing 'bla bla bla'

and it says that about 5ish different files, then closes.

It did this the other way too

Reinstall to a clean location, run server to verify that it works, copy over custom content.

OR If you can properly do the following:
Delete everything but the servers orangebox/garrysmod/ directory and reinstall on top of that.

so delete everything other than hldsupdatetool and the garrysmod folder in the orangebox folder. done. reinstalling now

even after a clean install...i STILL get the error message...WTF?!

I know this is RESOLVED but you know what theres still other people who cant get it to work, and this is the only place where people can ask.
Ive done everything you guys have done and I still get that error, please send me like a step by step of how to make it work.
If not then thats rude :c
