No Master Server, Errors

Ok I am trying to run a SRCDS server, with Counter-Strike Source. I have forwarded the ports, 1200, 27000-27050 UDP and TCP.

I use the shortcut:

C:\SRCDS\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -port 27015 -maxplayers 30 +map de_dust2 -autoupdate

I have updated everything on HLDS, and when starting up the server, this is what I get:

I've highlighted the sections I think may be wrong, but I am new to this. Also why am I not seeing "Adding to master server" - I used to host servers back a few years, and this was the norm then. Has this been removed, or is something wrong at my end?

What do you mean by Orangebox game, does that mean that it no longer needs "Adding to master server xxx.xxx"?

They recently changed the master server again...

Thanks but would that affect me getting any "Adding to master server" messages at all? Both in source and legacy HLDS

same question here, i tried 2 different configs :

srcds->router->internet

and

scrds->internet

i can see my server in the internet tab of steam server browser, but so far nobody ever joined the server. btw : sv_lan 0 tells me :
Server is a lan server ( no heartbeat, no authentication, no non-class C addresses )



if i type status in the console i can see the servers uses the right ip :

udp/ip : 8x.1xx.xx.xxx:27015



Connection to Steam servers successful.
VAC secure mode is activated.

i still have no masterservers... any ideas ??

No, just add the master "hl2master.steampowered.com" to your masterlist.. then you will be fine...

Also, do you have multiple servers running?

Hmm. Still doesn't solve my problem either.


He may be in the same boat as me.

I remember last year when I hosted a server off my Vista OS; had no problems what so ever. (On the same router too)

this is the same issue I am getting to with the master server but
its due to the latest left 4 dead 2 update just this past week.
however all my other cs servers are fine except l4d2.

hmm i done very good thing and it works fine with me!!

i just replaced my css non steam files with cstikre ,bin,platform...etc ran dediacted server it shoed few err but dun mind and it says update ur server finaly addming server master


and i run my server verygood but !!! CARE..: THAT U WILL HAVE PROBLEM ADDING ANY ADMIN PLUGIN wich im into now and dun 4get the revclient and Steam.dll for non steam players to log in

So what are the steps? I wanna try this myself but I can't really understand what you said....

1st go to ur counter strike game folder...

in C Driver


Go to and replace every folder like ( cstrike ) platform, bin..etc everyfolder replace it with the folders inside orange box done o.o thats all run the server open the ports canyouseeme.org check ur port at this website if it's *Success* Result ur done

Okay what the guy means, is that:

1) Go to your SRCDS folder.
2) Merge all the bin/hl2/cstrike with the folders inside your orangebox-folder.
2a) Update the server with hldsupdatetool.
3) Start your SRCDS, check the port at canyouseeme.org and if it says success, your'e done!

BUT i don't think that this is the solution.. Tried to tun the server as administrator?
