Unable to connect to remote server(ip:port)

Exclamation
Hi

My SRCDS is freaking me out, because I can't controle it with rcon in the game. For the information, I'm running Debian 5.0.5 i386.
After reading a million threads, i noticed one thing that will solve the problem, but then it causes a new problem. My start command is:
Quote:./srcds_run -console -game cstrike +map de_dust2 -maxplayers 10 -autoupdate
by adding +ip x.x.x.x the rcon function will work, but, since the server is used as LAN server, i will now not be able to see it in the LAN tab in Steam -> Servers

How do I solve this problem?

What IP do you get when you see the error: Unable to connect to remote server(WHATISHERE:port)?

Also, what IP are you trying to assign the game server using the +ip command?

Also, make sure you have the TCP port opened.
Looking for a game server? Visit fullfrag.com and pick one up as low as $2.50 / mo!

It's a LAN server:
1. The IP i get is the local(192.168.1.x).
2. I assign the local ip(192.168.1.x)
3. And since it's a LAN server, opening the TCP port in my router will have no effect.

The problem seems to be at srcds or linux.

Alright, Sounds like a firewall issue on the LAN server, but I'm not familiar with Linux firewalls.

Problem solved:
Code:
su
cd /
pico etc/hosts
Where i changed the 127.0.1.1 to the servers actual IP(in my case 192.168.1.108)

When I host a server i don't use
Code:
+ip x.x.x.x
in start command.
