I'm using the default rate/config settings. I have another server with the exact same hardware, and I never suffer from any of these drops.

This is on a 8GB RAM server with an Intel Xeon E5404 2GHZ Eight-Core CPU.

It's running Windows Server 2008 R2.

No plugins.

What else is running on the dedicated machine?
If you are planning on running a server on the computer you play on...

btw: your real fps_max is 300, at least it was during the fps meter measurement. maybe you have it wrong somewhere in the config? I would recommend trying fps_max 0...

Er, sorry, copied the wrong command line. It's fps_max 300, not 550. Everything else is the same. Smile

When you say you have another server with the same hardware do you mean on a separate machine with the same hardware? Or is it running on the same machine?

Separate machine with the same hardware.

None of this is on VPS - all dedicated boxes.

Also try setting the affinity on the problemed game server to one core.

Might want to check the following:

- Check and make sure the BIOS settings are identical on the working server vs the non working
- Make sure HPET is enabled. Some bios makers still ship it with being off.
- Make sure you are not running any power management stuff in the bios or in windows Smile
