My tf2 server which is quite popular is currently taking anywhere from 50-75% of my server's cpu. It's outrageous. I use to run 4 gmod servers and be below 50%. I find that when this will most of the time cause the server to stay above 80%.

Anyway to reduce the amount of cpu without effecting game play?

This is related to the new multi-threading update, We are having similar issues... I have not found a solution other than limiting to one core.
Looking for a game server? Visit fullfrag.com and pick one up as low as $2.50 / mo!

Wouldn't it just lag the server then?

When limiting to one CPU ( or Core ) it won't allow that process to run on any other cores.
