Server "out of date" after updating
#1
After the new CS:S ZOMFG LET'S CHANGE EVERYTHING update my server won't start. I tried updating with hldsupdatetool -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir C:\srcds and it says it's up to date, but when I try to start it, it says it's out of date. I've tried "updating" several times with the same results.

AMD Athlon X2 4400 Processor
Windows XP 32-bit
3.5 GB RAM
Counter Strike: Source
Using Mani mod, Source mod and saysounds, I think

Nothing, I've always just double clicked the srcds icon in the folder.

Ya, that doesn't work. You need to boot it via a startup command.

Ah, I didn't know about that. I used to use c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 20 but it still came back with the same error, server out of date.

yah that is still wrong, you need to use the scrds.exe that is located in the orangebox folder.

So I see. I tried c:\srcds\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 20 and it shows the framerate, players and current map at the top, but still says it's out of date.

Okay, I think it works now, but when I try to use the icon in the C:\srcds folder it still says it's out of date, and the icon in the \orangebox folder doesn't do anything. Is there anyway I can launch it though the icon? I prefer having that green/gray application up so I can monitor and adjust it easier.
