Can't See/Connect To Server
#1
Hello,

I had a spare computer and decided to install Linux/srcds on it. The server seems to be running fine, no issues in the log I don't think:

Code:
Auto detecting CPU
Using default binary: ./srcds_linux
Server will auto-restart if there is a crash.
INFO: Located steam: ../steam
Updating server using Steam.

Anyway, when I try and connect to it on my main computer, I can't. It doesn't show up on LAN, and I can't add it to favorites or connect to it using console. Here's my startup line:

Code:
./srcds_run -game cstrike -autoupdate +ip 146.115.28.136 -port 27015 +maxplayers 16 +map de_dust2 > srcds.log 2>&1 &

Please help me out here, it's my first time doing this.

Linux server behind a router? +ip <local_ip> and forward the required ports to that ip.

EDIT: I fixed the server, but now whenever I connect the server crashes. Any ideas?

Hey guys,

Sorry to keep changing the problem, but it's kind of good that the problem is changing to better things Toungue.

Right now I had a segmentation fault after a while of playing in the server with 3 people and 1 bot. Is there a known fix for this? I deleted the ClientRegistry.blob file within the Steam folder. See if that helps I guess?

Also, while I'm in the server, just mine, I get a random FPS drop ever second or so, it drops by like 5 but it's very noticeable. Is there a known fix for this?

I was in the server by myself when that happened so I don't think it would be related to hardware?

Yeah, I removed Mani and installed Metamod with Mani and the segmentation fault error is gone... almost everything is perfect...

Running around in the server is a little laggy. Like every second you notice a very little delay in the game, which is kind of annoying. It's not ridiculous lag, but it is annoying. What's usually the cause of that?

It only happens after the servers been going for a while.
