Fps/tic rate
#1
How do I raise fps/ticrate in linux? Ive heard you have to do some kernel hacking? is this true? I put -fps_max 1000 in my start up command but it doesn't seem to change anything. I did the same with tickrate except I had it at 100...

Do you have a 1000Hz kernel?

you cannot change the kernel in a vps usually. most vps uses specialized kernels.

also you should not use vps to host game servers, at least not if you expect it to be lag free. vps cannot do that. you will have to rent a real root server.

I have no lag what i'm running now? Runs absolutly perfect which is why I was surprised myself. My specs aren't even good either. I'll go ahead and try contacting them and see what they say.

then you don't need to replace the kernel, right?
