loss and ping

i have a server ruuning in my university and suddenly when we were playing in the server for 8-9 days the server strting lagging.i see yhat it has very loss 50-60 after 2-3 days the loss was get lower but the ping is to high.at start it was 30ms and now its 120ms.what happend?

Well you did not say any thing about you trying to restart. From what I could read you just had it running for 9 days.

i have the server running i didn't close it but i maked some restarts but the ping is high.

sounds like a network problem... universities often don't have good connections w.r.t. low latency / gaming

But at start the pings were good and wasn't any loss

When loss happens, its a network problem. Maybe, the connection isn't strong enough to handle the data*?

it has 24mb upload and download

But split between how many people? If it is an entire dorm, then you are going to see high bandwidth, but you are not going to get that bandwidth because it is shared.
