I am trying to build a powerhouse server and then colocate it, can someone tell me what determines what makes a tickrate 100 stable and the best reg when it comes to hardware? I am not talking about internet connection, obviously that plays a factor but I am purely talking about hardware at the present moment.
CPU Cache? Faster RAM? etc?

you obviously need a dual core..single would do but its not suffice.
i would prefer a quad core or a xeon 2.8 or above a good 3-4gb ram.
1st run
2nd run
-=NSF=- Server ip 98.207.89.154
Let me know if any1 needs a server i will give a very good price...

I know what the requirements are, I am just saying, what factors into the performance?

The thing that Srcds is mainly reliant on, is High CPU core speed. Go for the highest core speed you can get. +3.0ghz

So if I overclock a CPU to 4.0 Ghz, will my server run smoothly without tickrate drops?

Lmao, cooling and stability isn't a problem. I am just wondering what I should look for when I buy my hardware.

High core speed, and enough memory. A scrds server takes around 300mb memory when under load.
