12 servers all lag at same time (Also with no mods running)
#1
Hi all,

I host 5 dedicated servers and since a week we have huge connection problems (1 server is web/mysql/ts3/hlx server). on this 4 other dedicated servers are 12 public gameservers and they all lag exactly at the same time. and always after the same amount of time. (see screenshot of hlsw) I clocked it and its around 11 minutes.

All the servers are running on Debian (fully up2date). all intel proccesors (gameservers all quadcore).
Its not just lag on the gameserver, when it happens (its like 10seconds) also ssh is not working any more and also the webserver (apache) is unreachable.

4 of the servers are on the same gateway and 1 other is on a other gateway both gateway's have a 100mbit connection (up/down). they are in the same rack.

There are no cronjobs running every 11 minutes, servers also lag when all mods are turned off.

I think its a network problem but I am just not sure. maybe its the last Debian kernel?

if they are running on different hardware but still lag at the same time you can exclude any kernel problem. I would guess it's some connection problem, either at server side or at your end... did you make sure that you still have connection to other servers during those lags?

Please do not PM me for server related help

They all have different cpu's and motherboards so.

And everyone has the lag so its not a connection problem on my side.

So ye it looks like a network issue to me. I will contact my host.
