How much could this server handle?
#1
I would like to know what this server would be able to handle, The games would be TF2 and L4D2.

CPU: Dual-Core AMD Opteron™ 2218. 2.593 GHz
Ram: 8 GB
Bandwidth: 1 gbit/s
Limit:10 TB/month.
And what OS would be best to run with this setup?

I would say two 24-slot TF2 Server.
Maybe 8 L4D Server or more depending on the slots.

OS is a personal choice.

Generally speaking Linux can run a little more but it is also a bit of a pain to set up compared to Windows, I would stick to Windows if you're unsure what OS to choose as without meaning to sound like some sort of elitist, Linux server administration really is left to the experienced.

Usually you try to do one server per core that gives the best results, tf2 isnt as intense as L4D however.
Practicing stupidity in a more professional manner.

Depending on your configuration... Of course an 8 slot l4d server will use more than an 8 slot tf2 server... but a 32 slot tf2 server will require much more than an 8 slot l4d server to run...

That is if you're going to cap your l4d servers.
