Looking to rent dedicated server

Hi everyone

Im looking to rent a dedicated server UK

The specs Im looking at will be something like

Processor: 2 x 2.5Ghz Quad Core Xeon
Cores: 8
HDD: 2 x 300GB SAS + 500GB SATA
RAID 1
RAM: 16GB
100MB connection
Linux O/S

Im just curious exacly how many game servers will i be able to run per core and what sort of slots per game server.

So like 32 slots x 8 cores

I think you can have on this machine like 256 slots if the servers are on 66 tick

So like 32 slots x 8 cores <<< try it it depends on every maschine, chipset, kernel configuration, plugins e.g. i would say you can host on this maschine tick 100 > the power of cpu and FB ram is enough, but 32 slot are even bad. Take 24 Slots its much better for fps.

for high quality servers: 8 to 16 servers, depending on number of slots per server (not more than 24 -> higher slot counts are not "high quality" on virtually any machine), plugins - and luck :-)

the total number of slots is the wrong quantity to ask for...
