SRCDS - Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition

Basicaly you don't need to know my specs, there absolutely more than enough. SRCDS doesn't even open.. It does a loading icon over the mouse for a split second as if its opening and just does nothing. Any ideas?

I downloaded the HLDS tool and followed the instructions on srcds.com word for word, checked over and done twice. Is there something im completely missing out here?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated!

We don't even know if you downloaded the right files? It would be a good idea to just click the srcds.exe file in the folder that the files were downloaded to and check it loads up. It should at least give you that small GUI in order to setup hostname, ip, port. If that GUI is not starting up, you may need to redownload the files and make sure you get all of them. If that doesn't work you may have to check your command line and start by debugging from there?

P.S. Yes, we need your command line, assuming you are running this from command line

srcds.exe can not be launched directly, you will still have to put some parameters on it

Yes. I managed to figure this out the hard way, when I haven't ran a srcds.exe instance in awhile.
