But now, it drops from 300 to 60 every few seconds..

RAM: 2.56gb
OS: WinXP
Video: NVIDIA GeForce MX 440 64.0mb
Page file?: 326mb used, 4126mb available

You don't have two CPU's you have what you call Hyper-Threading Technology ( http://www.intel.com/technology/platform-technology/hyper-threading/index.htm ). What FPS Booster did you use? What's your server start line?

Bad idea if you want to run anything higher than 60 Tickrate...

Run a standard kernal resolution timer that will increase the default timer resolution from 60 to 512...
Looking for a game server? Visit fullfrag.com and pick one up as low as $2.50 / mo!

I am pretty sure you mean run srcdsfpsbooster instead of fpsboosters that are plugins on the server?

2 options for this are Windows Media Player running in the background or srcdsfpsbooster.exe which can be easily found using google?

Also make sure your computer doesn't have other junk running in the background, I have noticed that you do get fps drop on weak processors just by opening up IE or AIM or anything really.

Agreed with the latter.

P4's can't really handle 500FPS stable.
