Random lag spikes?
#1
I host a server from my home, and for the many months that it has been up, everything has been fine for a while now. But suddenly last night, I have been getting some outrageous lag spikes. (I've gotten ping up to 300-400) I figured it was my host, but everyone else on the server has no issues with lag. It's just me. I don't get why it could be happening to only me when the server hosting it is in the same network!

My Server (Team Fortress 2): renaidle.foxxie.net:27015

BASIC INFO
Server OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Core i7 920 4.20GHz
Ram: 12GB

Start Up Command: C:\KKServer\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf -hostport 27015 +maxplayers 32 +map achievement_idle_arenafix -tickrate 66

I assume you are playing and hosting on the same box.
Something (probably software) is creating lag for you. Close out of any programs you don't need open...

Please do not PM me for server related help

Did that. Everything in Task Manager other than essentials was closed.

EDIT: Seems like whenever someone uses voice chat on the server. My ping shoots up.
