A2C_PRINT after new update?

Hi, i'm hosting a Coutner Strike Source server. I'v updated it yesterday to the latest version, since there was an update. On windows. After that my console was filled with that error.

A2C_PRINT from 69.28.140.246 or 72.165.21.151 :27011. Bad challage. What is that?

Possibly outdated clients trying to connect? OR the resulting output of the recently fixed server crashing / rcon stealing exploits?

The same thing happened to my server....It was fine yesterday, when I started it up this morning, it displayed the same message. This message means that there is something blocking it from connecting to the steam master server, and if you go on the server search list, youll notice that your server is not on there, just as mine is not as well...If anyone knows anything about why this is happening please reply ASAP, hopefully with a solution.

i dont know if its a dos one beacsue i have a blocker for it already, and 2 it just started happening to me at the same time.

UPDATE: i even installed the thing that you posted in that other topic, didnt remove it but i think its a good idea to keep anyway.

Did you add all the options to your server.cfg after installing it?

It wont install correctly, is it a metamod plugin? It doesnt say anything about it or how to install it on the website...

And its not a dos attack...That error message means that there is something blocking it from connecting to the steam master server, all that plugin does it stop it from displaying the error message, not solve the problem.

It's working. But what is that thing? nterested, since you need to disable all connections.

It is actually a DDoS attack (I've done quite a bit of research because that message was making me angry) and yes that plug-in works. I have 1 for my L4D2 server and 1 for my TF2 server.

Its not DDoS attack, DDoS means sending massive amounts of packets, TF2 and L4D2 don't have that problem. CS:S still have that problem however. If it was, you wouldn't be able to connect to the server.

It looks like an exploit though.

Actually, it is a known issue in TF2. Not necessarily for L4D2, but I have one in place in case. Trust me, I did my research, otherwise I wouldn't be disagreeing.

My server runs on CS:S, server showed up on the list yesterday for a bit, then wasnt anymore...Today im getting the a2c print message again and its not showing up on the server search again...And no, its really...not a DoS or DDoS attack, If it was a DoS or DDoS attack, I would not be posting these messages right now because my internet would not work. DoS stands for denial of service, and DDoS stands for distributed denial of service, meaning it is done through a botnet. Denial of service, service being internet, stops the victim from accessing the internet. It can also be used to take down websites and block incoming as well as outgoing. Learn the facts.
