Day of Defeat not in list. help
#1
Sorry for the caps all, but its kinda urgent. So i installed the tool because my roommate and I have been wanting to play DoDs on a LAN server as a one on one shooter, but the server list, which from what ive understood should include DoDs, does not. instead only Counter strike and HL2 death match appear. I've done some research to try and fix the issue, but anyone who has posted a (possible) solution has been too vague in how to fix the problem. Ive contacted Steam and was told to look into a forum. Ive tried a re-install of the tool and yes DoDs is installed on my machine. We also tried installing it on his machine, my roommates. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks, Tom.

t0m0hawk,
Rather then using steam's server tool which generally does NOT work, you should use the hldsupdatetool to download and install the server. Download the tool from steam HERE and install that to c:\srcds . Then you can use the windows command Beaver gave you to install the game.
