replace original sounds

Hi,

I'm running my own server, and I was wondering if it is possible to replace original sounds.

For example, I'd like to change the "death-sounds" (death1, death2, etc.)
I replaced them with my own sounds, and named them death1, death2, etc., but I still hear the original sounds.

Is it possible to replace these, or do I need a plugin of somekind (quake?)

To change the original sounds is something you would do on your client. for a server wide change you would have to put new sounds in with some kind of plugin to use the new sounds.
