My CSS Game Doesn't Appear on Steam's Internet List
#1
Hey guys!

Yes I'm another one to fall to the greed of having your own css server, See if you can help > Thanks in advance > Details are below;

OS: Windows PRO 32bit

Processor: Intel® Core™2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66ghz (2 CPUs)

RAM: 2030MB

Game: Counter-Strike: Source

My start up command: c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map cs_assault -maxplayers 20 -autoupdate

Mods: Mani-Admin

Router: DSL G604T

Notes:

When I run the server it runs under ip address " 10.1.1.2 " When i go to " http://whatismyipaddress.com/ " it says my ip address is < 124.169.192.213 >

I have enabled ports on my router as the following;

UDP 1200
UDP 27000 to 27015
UDP 27020
TCP 27030 to 27039
TCP 27015

Those ports are open for ip address " 10.1.1.2 "

I have also enabled DMZ for " 10.1.1.2 "

And still no success, Shouldn't my router say that my ip address is 124.169.192.213 not 10.1.1.2 ?

I am trying to host from a desktop, which is connecting to the G604T via wireless.

I have made sure that the server is running from 10.1.1.2 and input " sv_lan 0 "

I can even paste my cfg file;

// server name
hostname "Frenzys Server"

// rcon passsword
rcon_password "hidden due to public post"

// server cvars
mp_friendlyfire 0
mp_footsteps 1
mp_autoteambalance 1
mp_autokick 0
mp_flashlight 1
mp_tkpunish 1
mp_forcecamera 0
sv_alltalk 1
sv_pausable 0
sv_cheats 0
sv_consistency 1
sv_allowupload 1
sv_allowdownload 1
sv_maxspeed 320
mp_limitteams 2
mp_hostagepenalty 5
sv_voiceenable 1
mp_allowspectators 1
mp_timelimit 30
mp_chattime 5
sv_timeout 65

// round specific cvars
mp_freezetime 5
mp_roundtime 5
mp_startmoney 800
mp_c4timer 45
mp_fraglimit 0
mp_maxrounds 20
mp_winlimit 11
mp_playerid 0
mp_spawnprotectiontime 5

// bandwidth rates/settings
sv_minrate 0
sv_maxrate 0
decalfrequency 5
sv_maxupdaterate 100
sv_minupdaterate 20

// server logging
log on
sv_logbans 1
sv_logecho 1
sv_logfile 1
sv_log_onefile 0
sv_logsdir C:\srcds\LOG

// operation
sv_lan 0
sv_region 5
sv_contact 0

// execute ban files
exec banned_user.cfg
exec banned_ip.cfg

And I have not edited the Mani Admin config file.

I have windows firewall disabled, And am not running any other type of firewall software when I host the css server so it cannot be that either.

Hopefully this is a simple problem for your never-ending knowledge's haha

Again, thanks in advance, If theres any other information you require please ask

- Martin

You cannot see if it is on the list if its in your LAN. Check the LAN tab instead to connect, and give your friends your external IP address (http://www.whatsmyip.org) for them to connect.

124.169.192.213 < I click on " View server Info " and the ip for the server is 10.1.1.2:27015

I dont understand how that would work could you explain? Also I am hosting this for people within australia to join not for a LAN.

I Also just tried a " Listen Server " and it shows up on lan as 10.1.1.2:27015. I have enabled sv_lan 0 too.

It will also show up with the LAN-ip as long as you are on a local network. You can not avoid this.

Try use HLSW, and make a lookup on your external IP-address : port. Ex. if i had a server running at my home behind NAT, my local IP-address would be 10.67.133.250. My external would be 80.166.191.205. I would try to see if the server works on the external IP-address with looking up 80.166.191.205:27015 in my HLSW-browser. If this doesn't work, i would try to do it on my internal IP-address with looking up 10.67.133.250:27015. If it doesn't work there either, it would be the host. Try to check these following things:

- Have you opened the ports in Windows firewall?
- Do you have any other kind of firewall or internet security installed?
- Try to use this cmd line instead:
Code:
c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map cs_assault +maxplayers 10 -port 27015
Slå den med jeres fiberforbindelser...

Are you running Hamachi? If so, turn it off.

You will ALWAYS see it on LAN, even if others can connect via the internet.

Also, for port forwarding do this:
BOTH 1200
BOTH 27000 to 27015
BOTH 27020
BOTH 27030 to 27039

Open up your command line in windows and run this command and copy and past us all the info: ipconfig /all

By default, Dlink router should give you a 192.168.1.0/24 IP address...

Please do not PM me for server related help

Just a question, did you set a static IP for your computer? I had the same problem with my Gmod server but was able to fix it. It will be different for different operating systems if you find how to do it, but just search Google. Make sure you set the static IP of your computer to the ports you forwarded for your server.
