In a few days we're going to start enforcing a few changes to the Ad Pit rules. Please feel free to comment below.

Changes are underlines:
1- You can only post commercial advertisements when you have 50 constructive posts
2- You must be a member for 2 full weeks
3- You can post 1 advertisement every 2 week
4- Bumping is not allowed
5- There is no tolerance for ad bashing. Doing so will result in a long term warning or ban

Why the change?
1) Many people have brought to my attention the vast increase in repetitive ads.
2) Most responses to ads are trolling. Since we don't accept trolling, this rule only seem logical.

These rules are not set in stone yet, feel free to comment. You'll know what the rules have changed.

I don't think we should focus on GSP's here because this is a support forum on how to run SRCDS yourself. (Says the guy with the GSP related signature... Toungue)

It's been around for much longer then I have. Closing it down wouldn't be logical. While it is the bastard-child of the forums, we keep it around. To be honest, I don't really think there would be much business coming from the forums... but I have no real way of telling.

I'm not saying to remove it, but I don't think it is extremely effective.
If you are planning on running a server on the computer you play on...

I think so, you can do it for certain forums in SMF... But this isn't SMF so I wouldn't know Toungue

I think a section for people to post promotional codes would be nice.
