You're going to need some kind of software to detect crashes and restart the server. You can use something such as TCAdmin but it costs monthly, and you might as well just rent a server then

Why not use srcds.com's Guardian?

The so called Guardian only restart the servers if it does a "clean" crash.
Witch is just around never.

An actually crash is only from a bad plug-in (normally).

The Guardian is a good free way to get the job done. TCAdmin is okay if you have money to work with.

Are you guys talking about that watchdog script? If so... That thing never worked You have to disable error reporting, and still a damn non responding window will show up and is just a pain. I never bothered with it too much.
