Exclamation
Hey all!

Im currently hosting CS:S servers on a good serverbox, here is the specs:

Phenom II 3,4 ghz QC
8GB of DDR1066 RAM
2 x 750GB Raid 1 HDD
1000mbps internet

I have played many times on my companys 1000FPS server, and also other customer servers. On the 1000FPS server, it gets a bit of tickdrops, and choke. Its really frustrating, because the server CPU load is not even on 5%... Heres a output of my server.cfg
Code:
// server name
hostname "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"

rcon_password "XXXXXXXX"

// Server password
sv_password "XXXXXXXX"

I have the srcdsfpsboost.exe program opened as a service, and the server is able to hit 1K FPS

Any help is appreciated Smile

Are you analysing your "ticdrops" with the netgraph? If yes it is more likely the fault of YOUR netsettings. If the serverfps are above the tic there is no ticdrop. A bigger rate and your drops disappear..

Hi. Thanks for your input. My settings are not incorrect, but my internet has been living its only life the recent days. Yesterday i played a match on my server, and i had a ping on about 30-40 when my friends had 5-10 (we are all from Denmark). I will ask them and look for some feedback

Ive told my team to play a match with stv on, and so i monitored the fpsmeter.. Heres the result: http://www.fpsmeter.org/p,view;42643.html

Theres serveral drops which i really dont understand, because the CPU usage were at 5%
Im running Windows 2008 R2
What could this be?

Sourcetv on? Normally it causes graphs like that. Cool and Quiet or Intel version enabled? Also might be the cause. If is off, it might be windows ^^
