TF2 - Connection to Steam Servers Lost
#1
I have my dedicated server which is fully updated set up for internet on my desktop computer and I tried to connect to it on my laptop. It took a while to load so I went to look at the console. It said "Connection to Steam Servers Lost". I restarted and tried again, and the same message came up again. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Keep trying. The steam servers are having issues or something is blocking your connection to the steam servers. Are you running PG2?

Sorry for being off topic, but instead of PG2, use PeerBlock (link) instead.

I switched from PG2 to PeerBlock because it had been very unstable on my system (random crash, wouldn't load at startup, and etc.).

Read #9 in the official FAQ, for the reason of switching from PG2 to PeerBlock (link).

broom,

Which console are you referring to, the server side or the client side?

Have your TF2 really started OK?

Did you set your router to forward port 27015 (or whichever one that you are using)?

Off Topic: So PeerBlock wont give me a 5GB history.db file? WONDERFUL! (PG2 was logging all my allowed connections...)
