Why are they evil?

hrtimers are not evil, they are quite a must-have for game servers.

@peter_pan123: keep in mind, fps affect the cpu usage measurement itself. cpu usage is measured by the kernel with kernel HZ only, which might be much lower (or at best equal) to server fps for 1000 fps servers. even for servers with "only" 66.7 fps the sampling of maybe 100 HZ is not really high enough to have a reliable measurement. so even if the displayed cpu load increases with lower fps, the reality might be (and most probably will be) the opposite.

without hrtimers things are even worse: time measurement and wakeup of the process are correlated in that case. that will fake more stable fps, while in reality they will be probably less stable (difficult to prove because there is no way of measuring this, but theory says the have to be less stable).

Since the last big CS update the server consumes 100% CPU even without players. Can somebody confirm this? Is there an easy way to fix it?
