[Resolved] Steam says I'm "In-game" when SRCDS is running?
#1
Hello,

I run a small srcds server on a Windows computer. This computer also has Steam on it. However, when I'm running srcds, it interferes with Steam and says I'm running a "Steam application" so I can't exit out of Steam. Is there anyway I can stop Steam from seeing srcds as a Steam Application?

Are you running it from the dedicated server tool?

No. I have it running from the standalone srcds.

More server specs, how are you launching the server?
What is your start up command.

The way you're doing it it shouldn't interfere with Steam. Are you sure there's not another process that is interfering?

Yes, I'm very sure. I've checked all my processes.

When you run a SRCDS server on a computer running Steam, they do "hook together" even without trying. You can try booting the server before running steam...

Please do not PM me for server related help

Another reason why you shouldn't run a game server on the same computer you play on Toungue
