Optimal Server Settings

Hey guys,

I have been hosting counter-strike servers from my house for the past 5 years but not until now have I gotten serious about things. Could you look at what I am running bellow and give me some feedback for the tick rate, fps, and whatever else. I will be hosting a counter-strike source server with 24 slots.

Server Setup:
Processor: Intel Xeon 3.1ghz (Multiprocessor)
Ram: 4gb ECC
OS: Microsoft Server 2003 R2
Storage: 2 x 16gb Highspeed Drives

Internet Connection:
Download: 25mb
Upload: 5mb

I will basically just be hosting this one server on the computer.

I had a similar server running before, it cannot handle very much...
You can probably host a 32 slot 100 tick default fps just fine, but I wouldn't push it any further

I'm thinking of just doing a 24 slot. Would it be safe to do 100 tick and 512fps or what would you recommend?

Eh, you might be okay with that... Make sure that your motherboard supports high resolution timers... I remember the last old Xeon board I had didn't...
