Server times out ppl + bad registration
Hey, I noticed that many people get timed out (like 10%, I never get timed out myself) after a period of time on my server. This surely isn't normal, as that doesn't happen so often on other servers. So what can be the cause of this? Thanks ..

Besides that, the hitboxes are completely messed up (even more than on other servers).

System specs:
2U Rackmount Chassis, best cooling, 400W EPS Zippy
Powersupply
Intel Core2Quad Quadcore Q6600, 4 Core's with each
2,4 Ghz, 2x 4MB Cache
Intel DQ965GF Mainboard, VGA and Gigabitlan onboard
3x 2048 MB DDR2 Ram, PC667, Kingston
250 GB HDD, Maxtor, 7200 RPM, SATA2, 16 MB Cache
100mb/s up and down
Linux Debian

I've tried setting the rates to every possible combination, here's what I have atm:
sv_minrate 20000
sv_maxrate 35000
decalfrequency 10
sv_maxupdaterate 101
sv_minupdaterate 100
sv_maxcmdrate 101
sv_mincmdrate 100

Any ideas guys?

is your server 100tick? I believe the hitboxes has alot to do with the rates.. and that is your only server you're running? how many slots is it? what have u put in the command line?

try this if you have 100 tick
sv_minrate 10000
sv_maxrate 30000
decalfrequency 10
sv_maxupdaterate 101
sv_minupdaterate 66
sv_maxcmdrate 101
sv_mincmdrate 66

if you have 66tick try
sv_minrate 5000
sv_maxrate 30000
decalfrequency 10
sv_maxupdaterate 66
sv_minupdaterate 10
sv_maxcmdrate 66
sv_mincmdrate 10

Thanks, however I have 2 different servers set up on that box. It's the same with both, and setting the rates to what you wrote above doesn't seem to be any better...

Oh and regarding the server FPS... The FPS are as stable on 500 FPS as you would draw a line with a ruler.

try reinstalling the server (only the game server, not the linux) and run it without any kind of modification apart from the server name and the rcon password (I mean really no other change in the config, no plugins, etc.). If the problem remains (and the FPS are truly stable, maybe post some FPS meter measurement) the problem is most likely with the servers internet connection (I suppose client connection can be excluded due to a high enough number of players having problems). If the problem goes away, change the configuration step by step according to your needs, only then install plugins step by step.

Thanks for your reply, however all the servers I setup, doesn't matter how many plugins are up there, seem to have the exact same problems. I've done a FPS Meter measurement, and as I said the FPS are so steady that the line is almost like drawing it with a ruler. I'm out of ideas....
