Insane server lag

Server OS: Windows Server 2003 x64
Processor: Intel Xeon X3360 Quad
Ram: 8GB
Game(s): Counter-Strike: Source (C:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +maxplayers 16 +map cs_office +mp_dynamicpricing 0 -tickrate 100 -autoupdate)
Admin Mods: None

This is the first server I've made, and I have no idea what I've done wrong..

Also, when i run the command "stats" I get allmost 0 CPU usage (0.04 etc), about 90000 "in", about 6000 "out", and 1000FPS. This is with 1 player on the server.

Any ideas?

EDIT: This is on a server hosted in France, with 1GB/s connection

EDIT2: After spamming "stats" for a while, I've noticed that the fps keeps dropping to about 65fps for a half sec or so every few secs, why?

Do you have the srcds fps booster on?

Installed the fps booster, seems it now only goes down to about 510, instead of 65.. but still lags as hell

What do you have your min/max rates and min/max updaterates set to?

Try replacing your Bandwidth rates to this:

Code:
// bandwidth rates/settings
sv_minrate 15000
sv_maxrate 30000
sv_maxupdaterate 101
sv_minupdaterate 44

Also, what is the GHz on your Xeon? You might be trying to outperform the core.

This is running on a 2.8GHz Quadcore

Then nevermind. Are you running any other servers on the game servers core?

At first I thought the lag was caused by µTorrent and the FTP server that is running, but I've tried shutting down everything that may use any resources at all, with no luck..

Problem solved, and I blame windows/my host.

Reinstalled with linux, now running smooth Smile

Thanks for the help anyways!

I don't think your provider would want you running µTorrent... I don't know, maybe the laws in France are different than in the US :/
Looking for a game server? Visit fullfrag.com and pick one up as low as $2.50 / mo!
