do you mean how do you make one?? well you can write it out in something like notepad, or go to this site, http://www.cstrike-planet.com/cfgmaker?cfg=srcds and put in everything that you want on the server, and then it will give you directions at the end..

and with the ports... i don't know what to tell you.. -port on the cmd line should set it to that port no matter what... so im lost. sry

i deleted and reloaded everything and this is what im typing im run c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 16 -autoupdate -port 64603 im still getting the problem.

Mr. Clock, to create a cfg file just start notepad (start > run > notepad) and then when you save it...

"server.cfg"

WITH QUOTES. Otherwise without quotes it will save it as server.cfg.txt and that is not what you want.

Ports go up to 65534, however I would recomend that you stay within the 27015-25025 range. I have not seen a server that has gone too far out of that range (1 server that wasnt even close at all.) but make sure that the console says the port has been set to blah.

i gave up but i wanna try fixing this again basically if ppl add my server to favorites it wont b there next time cuz it wil have a differant port now does anyone have any i dea other than +port,
-port, port. that does not work what so ever i just dont get y it is doing it it ran fine for two weeks than i decided to be gay. Any inspiration would be apperciated.
