Ok, number 1 calm down.

did you make sure that it has sv_lan 0?

are you running the acctual SRCDS.exe OR the steam source dedicated server?

Do you have any add-ons like admin plugins?

GUI or Console?

Please answer those and we can help you better.

and do you have a router? and if you do, then did the internal ip change.. like 192.168.1.102 to 192.168.1.101, something like that.. if so you need to change the ip the ports are forwarded to..

note-if theres no router.. ignore this.

yes it will, what ever you make +port it will always be that port for that server instance.

.cfg files go into the cfg directory

cstrike/cfg/

and they are used to run commands.

my port is still changing with map changes and i typed +port<theportiwant> in the server console and it says unknown conmmand so obviously it wont work in a cfg so where do i type it.

i know im a compleate n00b

i tried adding the command to what is written in run and that doesnt work either i have this typed c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust +port 63677 -maxplayers 16 -autoupdate

i thought it was -port... give that a try in the cmd line.. cuz from what i understand it won't work in the cfg file.. but if it would it would just be "port <portnumber>" it wouldn't have the + or - or anything. but give -port a try and see if that works.
