Alright. I have followed the instructions perfectly for making a Windows based SRCDS server, but in the "C:\srcds" directory, there is no "srcds.exe"! I find this very strange. Which step does SRCDS install in? Should I repeat said step? It's not because I downloaded the files necessary for a Garry's Mod server from Steam, is it? As that would make little sense...
Well, here are my specs:
*Server OS: Windows XP Home Edition, 32bit. Everything except the absolutely necessary is enabled, (i.e., classic mode, all visuals off, non-essential Windows services off.)
Processor: (Dual) AMD Opteron Proccesor 246 1.99 GHz
Ram: 3.93 GB
Game(s): Garry's Mod
**Start Up Command: c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game garrysmod +map gm_construct -maxplayers 3 -autoupdate
Admin Mods: N/A
For any other specs not listed, the server is an IBM eServer 325.
*Before you say, "Eww 32bit XP server!", I did it for simplicity and because I had an OEM version laying around, so I used it.
**I can assure you the directory for SRCDS is correct, however the executable doesn't exist for the command to run! Also, the settings in this command are temporary to allow me to test the server.
