hello,
i got lags on l4d2 (people and zombies), but i dont know why and where could be the mistake. the pings are unstable. anyone an idea? what information do you need. startline: ./srcds_run -game left4dead2 -peter

Networking is kind of a bitch, so it could be either the machine where you run the server, either the hosting provider or also the isps of the clients.
Try running a traceroute to the ip of your machine and see where there are losses.

First off is this a dedicated server professionally hosted by a data center? Or a home hosted dedicated server on your mom and pops cable?

Where is the server, where are the clients and which connection do both have? Upload and download bandwith.

FFM/GErmany, clients are on the server > normally ^^ connection 100mbit .... i dont know alle the clients rates, server has std rates.
So it is in a data center with a professionally maintained network?
IF so, do a tracert and a ping and deliver output.

Well you were talking about having lags, if the server is in germany and its not local, you're supposed to be somewhere else in the universe, right?

mh i tried autoupdate (l4d2) and rebooting the root ... now it looks good .... mh dont know ....
