Hello,

I've just got a server with:

Processor:Core2Quad Q8400
Ram: 4 GB

I'd like to host Source servers, should i use Debian 64bit or 32bit?

Can this server handle 3 Source games (DOD, TF2, CS) - 32 slots and tickrate 100 each at the sime time? If it can't handle this - what i need to upgrade.

Hi,

First of all defiantly 64 bit or you will be waving goodbye to a few hundred meg of RAM for it not being able to be addressed.

As for running those servers, can you give some infomation on your connection? Speed (up/down), bandwidth (monthly) etc

Hi,

My connection's speed is: 10/10 Mb/s, bandwith - 3000 GB/month. If this connection's too slow, which will be enough?

3 servers on 4 cores is optimal. 10mbit should be sufficient, 3TB monthly transfer limit as well (the latter depends on the actual usage of the server)
