Serious help needed

I am at wits end with these servers now, our specs are as follows:

Q6700 @ 2.66 GHZ x 4
4096 MB RAM
120GB Seagate 8MB cache 7200RPM
100 Mbit Connection
Windows Server 2003

We cannot stop the lag on our servers, no matter what I try I will come on in the day and people will be complaining of lag, when I go to the server whichever server has lag will be using around 95-100% CPU.

We are running the following on the cores:

Core1: 24 Slot 33 Tickrate (66 tickrate causes 100% locked) TF2 Server
Core2: ""
Core3: ""
Core4: DOD:S 24 Slot 33 Tickrate Server

Where is the cpu usage coming from? We are loosing our player base because of this Sad

EDIT: The annoying thing is we use to have another machine that was similar spec just with a Q6600 that could handle 4x32 slot servers.

There is core1 with a full 24 slot 33 tickrate server.

EDIT: I failed to mention that is without plugins too, the plugins add a little more to usage.

what is causing the cpu load? Maybe give this one a try:

... or install a linux distro

I've dropped the fps and I will update tomorrow with any progress.

Seems strange that one core can't handle a 512 fps server though?

Try to keep game servers off core 0 ( first core ) as the operating system likes to use this core more often...

Also, don't run a 512FPS 33 tickrate server, there is no point. Lower it to 128 fps and you should be perfectly fine.
(honestly I would go 64fps on a 33tickrate server because with 33 tickrate you probably don't care about hit registration.)

We dropped it to fps_max 300 today which gave it around 256 fps and it was lagging at 32 players.

Is the processor to blame again? Is it maxed out on the core?

Turned out to be because it was being run from a control panel o.O

I won't name the control panel but we uninstalled it and it stopped lagging.

I won't name the control panel.. Why not, if you name it people will stop asking whats wrong until they find out they used the same as you did?

To be honest, I've used almost all the SRCDS panels and the only reason that would cause you any issues would be because of errors that a panel admin made.
