srcds won't load! (garry's mod)

Hi, I did search but i'm sorry i've had a bad day And i'm such a noob with hl2 servers, really good with hl1 though.

Basic really. I downloaded garrysmod with the hldsupdatetool and double-clicked srcds.exe but nothing happened. nothing opened. simple. Probably a simple thing i'm not doing right which i can't work out, But right now i'm brainless.

You have to run it with commands...

srcds.exe -console -game garrysmod +map gm_flatgrass -maxplayers 16

You can use GUI mode, replace -console with -gui

Just remove the console command, it defaults to the GUI.
