* Two full, dedicated HT CPU cores (Core i7 or better)
* 2048 MB of RAM
* 200 GB of hard drive space
* Two IP addresses
* 1000 GB of Bandwidth

Upload speed and download are in the first page to lazy to add picture.
Anyways my post in the beginning said without the trouble of the bandwidth limit that's why I removed the bandwidth specs.

Well than, your question and this whole thread is pointless. "Server Capacity" a servers capacity is determined by 2 things, hardware and bandwidth, you can have the hardware to handle 100 servers, but when you only have 1000gb bw, than your screwed.

Im sorry, I failed to notice this was a 2 page post, I thought your first post was just how much can I run...

I understand the bandwidth. I just want to know how many slots I could run with people playing without losing major quality with this hardware minus the bandwidth.

Ok, so WITHOUT bandwidth being a factor and you have the following specs. . .
* Two full, dedicated HT CPU cores (Core i7 or better)
* 2048 MB of RAM
* 200 GB of hard drive space
* Two IP addresses

Saying that, you have 2 cores of a i7 CPU? If so, I would say you can run 50-60 100tickrate 512fps boosted slots, with a little extra room to play with.

Alright thanks Big Grin. Going to try and run, 3 servers. I bet the company I got the server from will be flexible. Big Grin. If I exceed the limit.

Unfortunately I personally haven't been able to see how the i7's handle in terms of server usage, however my main concern here would be the 2GB of RAM. You're going to run out of memory way before you reach 50 server's. You might be able to get a large handful of the server's running idle, however as soon as they start to fill up and become active, you'll see both the memory and CPU usage climb. To give you an idea, on one of our machines we have a 66tickrate 250fps CSS server with 20/24 players in it. The CPU usage is hovering around 5% on one core, and memory usage is ~110mb. This server is also running on our Dual Xeon (8 core) 12gb RAM setup.

Either way - You can host a nice number on that setup, but I'd be more worried about running out of memory before you do with CPU Smile

Edit: I see that you're setting up 3 server's to start. Should be all set for those. I recommend just watching the usage with those 3 and going from there.

Not 50 servers, but 50 slots, and css is not as mem hungry as lets per say dods or garrysmod. . .

Ah - I missed that slots at the end there Sad

Either way, you should be able to host more then 50-60 slots on that machine, but ultimately, start with a nice handful, see how it handles when their active/full, and go from there Smile
