[RESOLVED] sv_downloadurl and .res files
#1
Ok, I have an external webserver with all my 3rd party files, and some maps come with multiple textures and stuff. I don't think all of them came with res files (I could be wrong), do I need to create a res file for every map that has additional files with it? Also, I always have to put the .nav and .bsp in the actual game server folders, but I can put everything else including a bz2 of the nav and bsp on the webserver, right? I think that's fine so far, but my question is, does the res file need to be on the game server or will it work fine on the web server with bzip2? Also, if it DOES need to be on the game server, will it still download the external bzip2'ed version? I know it's just a text file so maybe it's pointless but I'm just curious as to what my best solution would be.

Not necessary to bz2 nav and other small files since they usually end up larger, I believe.
